We do not know a child who grows up without a doctor, nor parents who are not afraid that their child might fall ill. Does this mean that the child's body is only and solely organic, a machine that the pediatrician repairs without other consequences? Is there no connection between the suffering body and certain episodes of suffering in the history of the child and his parents?

Here, the aim is not to make an incorrect psychosomatic interpretation and to link the mildest angina to family history. Rather, it is to invite parents and pediatricians to look at the child's body from a different angle. Parents and children enter illness with a history, that of the first discovery of their baby's body, that of their past illnesses.

What happens then in the pediatrician's office? The numerous stories told there show how fragments of life are entrusted during consultations. Thanks to these shared moments, the child can reappropriate their body and history, and re-establish bonds with their parents.
