New Orleans, Louisiana. The police discover yet another victim of the serial killer Jeremy, whom the press calls the Butcher of the Swamp. He lures young women, then drugs them and takes them to his home, where he engages in a psychological game of cat and mouse that ends in their agonizing death.

Cases pile up, but the detective cannot decipher the meaning of the clues left by the killer. Thanks to Ren's quick thinking and strong intuition, they find the next victim, who is buried alive. She is paralyzed from the waist down, evoking memories of brutal crimes from seven years ago. Could the Butcher of the Swamp have returned, bolder than ever, to finish what he started?
