“The Adventures of Mr. Blueberry by Land and by Water” is the new children's book by Sotir and Penko Gelevi.

The new edition will take you to a tiny world with its own rules. A world that fits in a child's hands and yet is boundless. An invitation to travel from your armchair, as if you are wearing Arabian slippers with upturned toes. Or to travel indeed. But which journey is not “indeed”?

The story was conceived and created in text and illustrations by:

• Penko Gelev.

Mr. Blueberry is a calm man. He does not worry that the lamp fireflies may overeat and stop glowing. Let them eat crumbs of cookies, he can sit in the dark. He does not worry that overwatering may make the roots of the buttercups tasteless. After all, there are spices. He does not worry that the ant milkmaids may milk the aphids dry and there will be no milk left for him. And yet even calm people sometimes go on a journey. For example, by dipping in the river…

Sotir and Penko Gelevi are artists and animators, creators of animated films (“Pileta”, “Zootrop” and others) and producers of TV series (“Stories about Physics and Astronomy”, “Good Day, Mr. Jasmine”), among the creators of the “Daga” project for the revival of comic art in Bulgaria, authors of a series of comics and books about Iliycho and August and of the book “Ordinary conversations”. Sotir Gelev is the author of “How Lora Learned to Count to Ten”, which received the “Peroto” award for children's literature. “The Adventures of Mr. Blueberry by Land and by Water” is their fifth joint book.
