In the story about Krali Marko, the national hero is presented in a new light - he is strong and brave, but he does not want to fight the dragon in hand-to-hand combat, he defeats it with cunning.

The story about Yoan-Boyan is very Bulgarian and at the same time carries the idea of the unification of nations and their cultures. The peoples weave a carpet of flowers, a symbol of unification against evil, in which each country is represented with its own flower. The Bulgarian nation is present most richly through symbols and images from mythology - the samodivas, the immortal Bulgarian eagle and the sunny golden deer, which embodies the sky and the whole universe, and its horn has magical power.

Apart from their educational nature, the stories of Lyubov Georgieva bring up in the children patriotism and tolerance towards other nations. The illustrations, in harmony with the author's rich imagination, are the work of the artist Venelin Valkanov, included in the honor list of the Hans Christian Andersen Award.
