The Sony A6700 is a compact model with an APS-C sensor, featuring technologies and functions from the Sony Cinema Line and Sony A7 models.
The Sony A6700 features a 26-megapixel back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor and BIONZ XR processor, providing sensitivity in the ISO 100-32000 range (50-102400), excellent color reproduction, low noise levels, a large dynamic range of over 14 stops, and continuous shooting at up to 11 fps with AF and AE.
The model captures 4K 10-bit 4:2:2 XAVC HS / XAVC S-I video at up to 120 frames per second with 6K oversampling, as well as FHD video at up to 240 frames per second. At a frame rate of 30 frames per second, the A6700 can record 4K video continuously for 2 hours.
Numerous technologies and functions inherited from the professional Sony Cinema Line series video cameras are available - S-Cinetone, S-Log3, S-Gamut3, user LUTs, and more.
The autofocus system of the Sony A6700 relies on 759 phase-detection points (495 points when shooting video) and AI assistance for subject recognition and tracking, including automatic Auto-Framing.
The new camera offers numerous options for capturing and storing photographs, including 4:2:0 and 4:2:2 HEIF format, Compressed and Lossless Compressed RAW, and the AI processor provides better rendering of human skin tones, better white balance, and better results when shooting in backlight.
The moisture and dust resistant body of the A6700 is equipped with an additional front control dial below the shutter button and a deeper grip for easier and more comfortable operation.
Available is a USB UVC/UAC output for streaming, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi for easy file sharing, 3.5mm ports for headphones and an external microphone, and a Multi Interface shoe for accessories.
The battery of the Sony A6700 provides approximately 570 shots / 120 minutes of video recording, and the camera can also be powered via USB.
