This is the story of one family entangled in a series of conflicts, secrets, twists, mysteries and superstitions. The main heroine goes through numerous trials, meetings and separations before she creates a family and adopts two girls. Her fate has given her the gift of reading into a person's steps by laying out a pasians with an old deck of unusual cards and revealing people's deviations from the preordained plan of their souls. Life brings her face to face with the biological mother of her two adopted daughters, and she reveals her secrets to her before she dies. The conflict between the two sisters, entangled in a love triangle, and the fate of the child born out of wedlock from a forbidden love lie at the core of hard choices and a serious inner transformation of the other characters. A huge role in the story is played by a dog thrown out on the street, which not only saves the life of one of the main characters but also provokes him to discover the true values in life.
