"Conan the Cimmerian: Daughter of the Ice Giant" is a graphic novel based on one of Robert E. Howard's most iconic and provocative stories. This tale is the earliest adventure of Conan in the chronology of his life, when he is still a young warrior among the golden-haired Aesir.

The story has an extraordinary publishing fate. Howard wrote it in 1932, but the magazine "Weird Tales" rejected it. In 1934, the text appeared in "The Fantasy Fan" under the title "The Gods of the North", where the hero remained nameless. Only in 1953, after the author's death, was the tale published as part of the Conan the Cimmerian cycle.

After a brutal battle in the ice fields of Nordheim, Conan is the only survivor. Among the dead bodies and the snowy wasteland, a mysterious girl with chilling beauty appears before him – the daughter of the Ice Giant. The red-haired goddess is a promise of temptation and glory, but also of doom.

In his version, Obsidian Robin Recht does more than simply illustrate the text: he builds a new artistic dimension that captures the frenzy of the battles, the cold of Nordheim and the merciless atmosphere of Conan's world.
