The Cisco Meraki MR78 is a Wi-Fi 6 outdoor access point. It features a dual-radio aggregate frame rate of 1.5 Gbps, with up to 1201 Mbps in the 5 GHz band and 286 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz band. It is powered over Ethernet (PoE) and has an internal antenna with 5.4 dBi gain at 2.4 GHz and 6 dBi gain at 5 GHz.
It includes one 10/100/1000 BASE-T Ethernet (RJ45) interface and supports IEEE 802.11a, 802.11ac, 802.11ax, 802.11b, 802.11e, 802.11g, 802.11h, 802.11i, 802.11k, 802.11n, and 802.11r standards. Security features include an integrated L7 firewall with mobile device policy management, WIDS/WIPS, VLAN tagging (802.1q), tunneling with IPsec VPN, WEP, WPA, WPA2-PSK, WPA2-Enterprise with 802.1X, WPA3, EAP, and flexible guest access with device isolation.
Management is via Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) and Mobile Device Management (MDM) integration. Dimensions are 245 x 115 x 30 mm and weight is 450 g. The product has an IP67 rating and includes a 12-month warranty.
